While some may think women bring each other down, the founder of Shades_n_Shadows and Silk Orchids, Mrs. Jaspreet Maan, is here to prove otherwise. With a passion for empowering women, she launched her journey to provide all women's essentials in one fabulous store.

A dedicated mother of two, Jaspreet moved from India to Abbotsford, Canada in 2013, bringing her incredible talent with her. She started her designer clothing business, Just Woman, in India in 2010, quickly gaining fame for her stunning designs that reached markets in Australia, Canada, the UK, and beyond. After relocating to Canada, she launched Silk Orchid Attire in February 2020, navigating the challenges of the pandemic with grace by taking her business online. In 2022, she expanded her skills by studying makeup artistry at Canada’s top institute, Blanche McDonald in Vancouver, and has since participated in glamorous fashion shows, including being part of the Makeup and Hair Team for MISS UNIVERSE CANADA 2023!
